I have been anxious to put our home back together since our plans to move fell through back in February. We sold so much stuff that we have a couple of baron rooms that need re-decorating. My least favorite is the dining room. I hated our previous furniture so I wasn't so sad to see it go but at least it was something to get us by until our budget allowed greater things. Needless to say it turned into Charley's play room for the past 3 months and I couldn't handle it anymore.
My mother in law gave us a table some years ago that we intended to go in the basement but it seemed like I could make it work in our dining room for now.
I don't have "before" pictures of the chairs I bought but I got them off of craigslist and was able to re-upholster them in a nicer fabric that would somehow match.
Here is the before of the pedestal to the table...painted white I thought I would strip it and then stain it.

I really love the chairs. I know they are not the exact same color as the table but in person I think its a nice contrast.
